And when I say victorious, I mean we didn’t lose our group stage.
Nearly 300 players and 32 teams met to compete in the fifth, and the biggest yet, Tamebay Ecommerce Cup on Thursday, September 7th 2017!
Sponsored by the Post Office and held at PlayFootball in Shepherds Bush the atmosphere was buzzing and everyone was there to win.
However, there can only be one winner and congratulations go to Tamebay Ecommerce Cup 2017 Champions, Just Eat, who took home the trophy which was presented by Tamebay and Max Warren from the Post Office. Followed by the narrowly beaten runners up, Wholesale Clearance.
This year, because the tournament was so big, the top 16 competed for the cup and the next 8 played for the shield which was won by the Royal Mail. Our #IngenicoAllBlacks were meant to compete in the shield, but we didn’t realise we’d got through and prematurely started taking advantage of the open bar! This has made us even more determined for next year and we will be bringing our A game till the end.
The whole evening was such fun, serious and competitive, but still very fun! I also had chance to catch up with my buddy Chris Dawson, Editor and Founder of Tamebay, and they are already planning an even bigger event for 2018! So keep an eye out for it if you fancy challenging the champions and us all blacks.
Please see the below image for proof that I did indeed brush off my boots and shin pads to play 😉
